Yaw Nkansa-Boadu lives in Dansoman, Accra, and has been betting since 2016. He took a diploma in journalism at the Ghana Institute of Journalism on Gamel Abdul Nasser Road, then spent three years selling mobile money at a kiosk near Kaneshie market: float, reversals, and the arguments that come with both.
The kiosk is where the writing started. In 2016 a customer lost two days to a 300 cedi withdrawal that the site said would clear in an hour, and blamed the kiosk for it. He began a notebook on which wallet clears, what MoMo actually charges after each fee change, and what verification asks for. The notebook became the work. He has been writing about bookmakers for Ghanaian readers since 2019.
How the figures are checked
Every figure starts from the operator's own pages: the cashier, the rules and the bonus terms, with the date it was read. Wallet charges and limits are checked against the published MTN Mobile Money terms rather than a comparison site. Licensing is checked against the Gaming Commission of Ghana. Where two operator pages disagree, the page quotes both and gives the date. Where the operator publishes nothing, the page says there is no data. No tips, no odds, no staking plans.
